  1. I have had both the 2002 312ce with the Fishman and a newer 312 with the v brace and the ES system. The Fishman can get more tones and a wider range of frequencies than those 3 knobs. I don't have the hot b string issue with my es. I believe that that can be adjusted with an allen wrench. But the Fishman systems 4 band equalizer , notch filter, frequency controller and phase option means that you can dial in so many more sounds than the new system. My ES sounds nice. But thats its sound. With bass or treble adjustment. Thats it. Plug them in. Play them side by side. With the Fishman I can make the sounds of 4 or 5 very different sounding acoustic guitars. The es is one guitar sound. I don't know why they did it. They literally made it less versatile. I do like the v braceing. More projection. My x brace is warmer slightly in the mid to bass frequency. They both play like a dream with incredibly low action. I also have a high end seagull, Parkwood, and breedlove. The Taylor's play easiest. Ring like bells.
