  1. Thank you!:) and this will in no way damage the amplifier?
  2. Alright thanks!:) so i just go from the 1x16 Ohm output on the amp and then what do i plug that into on the speaker? Those two inputs with no text on them are confusing me and using a PA speaker should be fine? The watt/rms of the single pa speaker i high enough for the amp?
  3. I have bought a marshall dsl 100watt amp (with the option to run at 50watts) and I have to wait a little with the cabinet because of my Wallet. A friend of mine owns a PA speaker lying around that he has used as a guitar cab. Its a peavey 112 pt pa enclosure and here is what I found about it online: «The Peavey Mod# 112 PT PA Enclosure was produced in 1986 & 1987 and sold for $139.50 each. They are rated at 100 watts Rms and 200 watts Peak Power. The 12 inch Woofer is a EMINENCE Loud Speaker and the 3 inch Tweeter is a MOTOROLA Piezo. The enclosure does not contain crossover components, it is straight wired from the input jacks to the speakers. They will work with a Mixer/Power Amp rated from 125 to 200 Peak Power Wattage @ 8 ohms. (Example - Peavey MP 4 Mixer/Amp Mark III Series).» Im pretty new at this stuff and wondering if it can be used for my marshall without damaging anything? Are the wattage of the speaker ok for the 100 watt marshall? (wich also can be runned at 50watts) In that case, do I have to use both speakers or is one enough? how do i hook it up? What goes where? It has two inputs on the back but none of them say anything about Ohm. It just says 16 Ohm on the label. Here is a picture of it:
  4. Im pretty new to this stuff so maybe a stupid question. I have understood that when pairing amp with cab, the cab should be at least double the wattage of the amp. I have a marshal dsl100 with the power reduction option to 50watts, Will this option work the same as having just a normal 50watt amp? So if i use the power reduction to 50watt will a 100watt cabinet be ok? And also another question, does it matter how many speakers there are as long as the combined watt is high enough? Like would pairing a 100watt amp with just a 1x12 or 2x12 be ok as long as its at least 200watt? Or do i need a 4x12? Im a noob at these things trying to learn, worried about damaging something. Also what is the main thing to worry about, am i most likely to damage the amp or the cabinet? Im trying to make sure the venues i play have the right cabinet needed for when i just bring the amp
