In the market for a hollowbody electric guitar in the $1k range. I am a tossed between a PRS SE Hollowbody and a Gretsch 5420T with a Bigsby. Having mainly played acoustic guitars, I don't know if I really need the Bigsby, I hear it can wreak havoc on tuning. I would be looking to play a variety of styles from Jazz Standards I.e Fly Me to the Moon, Mr. Sandman etc, Classic Country/Rockabilly I.e Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Ernest Tubb; Western Swing I.e Hot Road Lincoln, Chatanooga Choo Choo, 50;s instrumentals, I.e the Ventures. Any thoughts on which is a better choice; also any thoughts on a decent amplifier or effects? I have a small fender champ now is that all I need for around the house or possible small venue?
