Today's date is 16th February 2022. I just went on Amazon UK to order a set of Ernie Ball Regular Slinky Nickel Wound Electric Bass Strings 50-105 Gauge priced at almost £20 (UK pounds) for a set.- irrespective of where the strings are made, they are most certainly mass produced & packaged by machines, and the steel they are made from is most probably sourced from China. To my mind thats a tidy profit because £20 quid is bloody expensive for x4 bits of wire, I feel like writing to Ernie Ball & asking for a discount - it's a short scale Bass!
