Question about Epiphone Dot neck

Did you pass on the guitar in the end ? I just bought one used with similar cracks around the neck joint. It’s a 22 year old Epi 335 built in Korea. The store I bought it from swears it’s just cosmetic and the neck is perfectly fine. Apparently these cracks are common. Was just wondering if anyone else has a guitar like this that has been fine
