it might be too late, but... it never hurts to call them a few times to speak with different reps, if they don't give you a reasonable deal. i only know from a few years ago, but at least at that time Newegg was known to be very generous with exchanges/ returns (they replaced my roommate's out of warranty items with no question asked). email is no good - just give them another phone call, who knows you might get lucky and have a nicer rep with you next time.
