why so?
I mean, why do you hate what you hate?
I don't hate "why so?"

Oh yeah, don't forget to mark that bag as your therapy bag so nobody eats it

you put the potato down the FRONT of your shorts
What I mean is, heat up a bag of frozen peas in the nuker (or nuke friendly "hot packs") and put the towel over that

some instruments are even worse
Advancing brass player absolutely HAVE to stop, usually befor they are satisfied (as it's really physical)
sitar players' practice last a long long long time
anyway, some thoughts on the issue
1) there is plenty to do even without your instrument in hand...ear training, theory work, rhythm work...maybe you can do a little more of THAT on your off days
2) have someone check your position, your hand might not be a neutral as you need it to be. Nothing wrong with getting a tune up on your mechanics, we can dread it, but we need it
Is there a word or a phrase that you hate?

the idea is that the "blue" (ie the open sky) is a clear area (ie there isn't cloud cover, fog, etc) and you *should* be able to see it coming...that's what makes is surpising/shocking
"Holy Crap! It just materialized!"
as opposed to
"oh, there was this big cloud that I couldn't see {censored} through, so, yeah, it snuck up on me under cover"
the appearance itself may be unexpected, but the mechanism of the surprise isn't shocking
speaking of shocking -- alternatively and related (and probably originally)
the "BOLT out of the blue" -- well, that's lightning coming out of nowhere...no clouds...just clear sky
