why do people keep saying guitars that arnt a LP,tele, or a strat? blows my mind... Try to order off the menu at my restaurant and ill personally come out and slap the {censored} out of you. My answer: Strat Slap away: then you'll be in jail and I'll get a free dinner. I never met a guitar player who is willing to be herded or forced to make arbitrary choices. That's why we change pickups, tuners, amps, knobs whatever it takes to make the guitars we have look, sound, and play like we want them to. That's why we keep picking things off the "menu" proposed. I'm mostly a fender guy, too (vibrolux reverb custom, DRRI, '59 Bassman RI, even a Pro185), but right now, my favorite is the Marshall JVM410 (I have the head with 1960AV cab, but there is a 2x12 combo as well). It has a sweet crystal clean channel as well as 3 other channels of increasing distortion/overdrive. Each channel has three modes (green orange red: you get the drift). I use it with a G-system or a Nova System in the serial loop for effects. Onboard reverb is digital, and not my favorite thing...

Hmmmm. None of the above. For me, Gibson Johnny A or PRS 513 (original rosewood).
