  1. Well, that's awesome. All I got was a quick start guide. Why didn't I think of going there.....
  2. I did say that tongue in cheek.... but it is overwhelming. The manual is like 2 pages. I've been looking online and reading about the different settings people use. Like most people, I'm pretty lazy now that I'm retired..... lol
  3. Just bought a new Les Paul. Wanted to buy an amp. Bought a Fender Mustang 1 v2. I know I'm old but I've got to get my grandson to show me how to use the dang thing. When the green light is on it means this and when the red light is on its this and don't forget to hit save or you get to start over. Oh but if you want a clean sound you turn this and then turn on and WHAT??? Here's the kicker, if you don't like any of those presets, just plug it into your computer and change them all. It is true with me, you can't teach an old dog new tricks. Lol I finally found one setting that I like, I hollered "don't change anything, that's it. of course I have no idea how I got there... Acoustic was so much simpler, just not as much fun....
  4. Well I'm starting to play again so I went out and bought an Epiphone Les Paul with Floyd rose system. I also just bought a Fender Mustang amp. I think I'm ready...
  5. ~~In another thread I talked about buying a new electric guitar. Well, thanks to Rockpianoman's posting a pic of his Les Paul, I had to have one. You know when you find that one and boom, GAS!!! Again, Merry Christmas to me....
  6. Well, I went from spending 150 to 450. Guitar fever hits hard. Lol
  7. Rockpianoman, you may have sparked something. That is one sweet git. Going to look at one today at guitar center but I did find a new one at Sweetwater for $449. http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/ENLXVSNF3
  8. Most definitely it comes down to comfort and playability. They both are equal in this regard. I actually thought the Studio version may have been something different since I couldn't find that particular color combination. Thanks for the input. I spoke to my friend yesterday and he is willing to let me have the Standard for $150. Sounds too good to pass up.
  9. Just got back into playing after a layoff. Always played acoustic but looking for a nice but inexpensive electric. My friend works at a pawn shop and they have two Epiphone Les Pauls. The first is a 2009 Standard, and is in good shape and they want $165. The second is a 2008 Studio, I think ivory with gold hardware. They want $175. I've look online for the studio but can't find one like this. That's why I'm not sure of the color. The price seems right for either. Your thoughts...
  10. First off I'm a newbie.....I've been teaching myself the acoustic guitar for about 8 months. I picked up an electric a couple of weeks ago and absolutely love it. Now to the question..I found some tabs of the intro to Landing in London by 3 Doors Down but it doesn't sound right to me or maybe I'm just not reading the tabs correctly. I found about 5 different versions of it. Where can I find the correct tab and can someone splain it to me.
