    yamaha LL-6

Easy '10' becasue they are such a true value. And at $1,000 they'd be worth it if Martins and Gibsons are the measure. The Yamaha LL6 is the bottom of the handcragted price line, but not the inferior sounding ones. These range from consistently very nice tone to 'oh baby!' tone. I own and have owned some very ice guitars (my main guitar for home is a '99 Galloup Northern Light). You will be impressed if you are anything less than a professional musician becasue the Yamaha LL6 is so well made and sounds and plays so well right off the rack.
  2. Easily a '10'. This is the finest acoustic guitar I ever played and it is a keeper.
  3. To get a guitar of this caliber for this $ is a rare find.
  4. At $1500, it easily beats any Fender custom shop guitar I ever saw in every way. This is Fender's finest offering, in my view. Go look at the reviews of this guitar. It's the best sounding and playing an most 'alive' guitar I've ever seen from Fender. This one may become a modern standard for Fender. If you are a nail player like me, this is your Strat. Terrific for country picking or blues... very responsive to attack.

  6. Sound is all that really counts and this delivers nothing of much use. It's overpriced and not in a league with the Fulltone pedals. A disappointment that is going on eBay if I cannot return it for refund.

The best guitar for under $700 with case you'll ever find, guaranteed. Better than Taylors and Martins at 3 times the price. I am serious and I've played them and owned them.
  8. Go look at the price: it outplays and outsounds practically any Martin under $1300 (The D16 at about 900 bucks is nice!). This guitar looks and handles great, plays excellent with minor setup tweaks (get UNBLEACHED bone saddle, nut and pins... trust me!) and is versatile in its sound and feel. You'll soon love it. And if the dog eats it, you lost $300-350... big deal. Unbelievable value and for any price a very sharp little dread.

    Austin AU792BU

a 10 for value; great sound; excellent factory action and comfortable all over. A poor man;s PRS but lighter... but not a crummy cheapo. Just inexpensive.

    Austin 792ch Tour Pro

'10' because it IS a fantastic value at $200, new even though it is not as attractive as a PRS. A guitar that sounds as good as a cheaper PRS (a real PRS...not the Santana SE), plays like one, and is 8 or 10 times cheaper? I'll take the money difference and live with the Austin.
  11. Easy '10'. It's in the same league with the Guild GAD25 (all mahogany) and priced similar (GAD25 is $500 w. nice case..also from China). The FG750S is spooky good for the money. It's almost in there with my luthier's new Dove, but not as warm and smooth. But it is 1/5 the cost of a dealer cost! That is getting weird! But grab one of these and you'll be sold on it. Add a K&K Sound Pure Western Mini and you're set!

    yamaha FJ-681 Jumbo

'9' is fair: It's not a great sound, but it plays really well, looks cool, and is an affordable jumbo. The tone is not 'round' like a good Gibson or Guild jumbo, but more crisp and 'modern'. But it is a very nice guitar over-all and sounds better than most anything you'll find in a jumbo for under $800. I have yet to hear a Takamine jumbo under $1000 that beats it. Jumbos only... a number of Taks sound impressive and they always play great!
  13. '9' At $350 it would be a steal. At $550 it's very good, versatile, small and light and angled front and friendly (kill button, marked well).
  14. Look at the price again: full electronics, good tuners, excellent setup, sounds great and looks handsome, versatile, nicely appointed with good pegs and IvorexII nut/saddle. For $380? Don't be afraid, it really is that good for that cheap! '10' is a fantastic value? Then it is a '10'. Best new guitar I ever saw for under $400.
  15. Easy '10' because it is a fantastic value. It's equal in a Takamine costs about $700. Features, build, sound, action, appearance, electronics, hardware are all fine and at $380... impossible to beat under $400. Prove me wrong, please!
