Alright friends, I have 3 rack effects in my recording/mastering setup. I go into my BBE sonic maximizer first, then into a Live KC-203 3-way crossover and sub woofer, and a DBX 231 31- band graphic equalizer. The sound I get seems good. You can check out a track I just made
Are these good pieces of gear? do they sound good to your ear?

I have two aria pro ii STG-series strat copies. I put malmsteen yjm fury's on one and dimarzio hs-3's on the other. I like them. For just straight out playing they cash in. I have lots of fun playin them.

how do you change the speaker of a combo? do I need to solder anything ?

[is that the Fender Design Eminence 12' 8ohm?]
Yes, Celestion makes great speakers, but they are not the only ones...ElectroVoice, Jensen, Eminence, JBL, Weber, Tone Tubby, Fane...
It's not a good speaker. I think it's low grade but I like the sound of the amp as it is. but I imagine that changing the speaker will bump up the midrange a little and the bass so it will sound more 'classy'. I admit it sounds a bit cheap but It could be the amp itself and not the speaker that makes it sound that way. I probably will change the speaker but maybe late next year since I'm broke and speakers are expensive compared to pedals (which is what I plan to get into this coming year.

never have but i'm sure theyre both equally good so why is the blue more expensive?
-
Celestions generally don't belong in Fender amps. They don't have the right sound. Look at Eminence' date=' Jensen, maybe Weber (I say maybe because Weber doesn't publish specs and I don't like that). The Eminience Cannabis Rex and Swamp Thang come to mind. Neither is terribly expensive and each has fairly high sensitivity that will make the most of your amp.[/quote']
Celestion seems to be the name brand for me.

I don't think the blue celestions sound better than the greenback or vintage 30. I think will go for the cheaper alternative AGAIN. This is how I always am. Less money, but still great tone. spending more money with the more classy speaker won't do it. I prolly will never buy another speaker again. haha.

I'd like to replace the speaker of my Fender Champion 40 with a good speaker. I'd like to put a blue back, greenback, or vintage 30. The blueback seems to be more expensive than the other two. Does the blue back sound any better? what are the advantages of going for the blue one?

I heard bugera's have a midrange character that can't be dialed out. i don't notice it. to me it sounds like a fender amp on the clean channel. sounds good with distortion pedals.
-
Bugera amps are really cheap compared to other brands. honestly, do they sound any good? i still believe marshall is the best for rock and metal.

great gear. the ds-1 sounds good with you're crybaby. my ds-1 through my crybaby sounds like its lacking midrange sweep or something. though it can still be heard, the wah effects is pretty subdued....

I have a dunlop gcb-95 wah. it sounds good with some distortion pedals. but with the boss DS-1 or DS-2, its hard to hear the wah effect. adding an overdrive before the distortion helps a bit. but is there anybody with similar observation?

I found out there's something wrong with my marshall combo just now. something to do with the volume knob on the clean channel. the louder i make it, the more bassy it gets. from 0-10 it pretty much consistently gets bassier. I'm quite sure it wasn't like this a few weeks ago. Is this normal? Is there an authorized marshall service center here in the Philippines?

why get a squire when you can get a mexican strat ? strats are cheap to make as it is.
Something wrong with my bass

The D string is not as loud as the G, A, and E, strings. I strung it with 5 string bass strings and I lost sound from the D string when I put back the 4 string bass strings set. What happened to my Bass?
