Maybe he is using two stereo tracks which would max it out just the same as four mono tracks. LE is a limited version of Cubase compared to SE, SL, or SX that is intended to be bundled free with other's hardware. The idea is that you will try it out and hopefully like it enough to want to buy a real version of Cubase. It does kind of suck that you can't make use of all the inputs on your Firepod with LE. Getting LE for free along with the Firebox is pretty cool, packaged with the Firepod not so.
