Looks just like my old C1. She was a great guitar and I miss her. Enjoy yours.

There's also a Floyd that actually mounts to the existing TOM and Stoptail mounts, so no mods are required. Those are really hard to find, and from what I understand, they don't offer the same range of motion as a regular Floyd, and you'd still have to put a locking nut on there, but there would be no body mods needed.
Never seen that before. Very interesting. I wonder if tuning is as stable as a regular floyd?

Yep, torque keys don't work. Well, they do, but they only measure the resistance of the rod turning in the lug, not the head tension. Now Drum Dials do work (to a certain extent), but they cost about $60, so I'm sure you're not interested. IMO, if you're not worried about getting a perfect sound and you just want to bash away, I would take the reso heads off and tune the batters up to a tone that sounds good to you and just go with that. That would be the fastest, easiest thing to do.
BTW, tuning drums is similar to putting a wheel on a car - tighten each lug an equal amount in a criss cross pattern...like THIS.

Sounds great but it's pretty much the same solo he always plays. I'm hoping he comes up with something new for the tour. I've heard the Eruption/Cathedral/MeanStreet medley too many times.
