  1. pickups don't make any differences when the sustainer is on. i think you can change the mid pickup. i bought it used. i have the manual but it's japanese. cant read. why just the mid? what's wrong with the bridge
  2. @juniq : ooh great, another user.... i want to ask you a couple of things ... i think pickups dont make any differences when i switch the positions... so can i change the mid and bridge pickups?? and will the sustainer still available in the mid and bridge pickup? did you buy it new? do you have the manual book?
  3. case closed... it's absolutely a Fr 65 S.... http://www.digimart.net/inst_detail.do;jsessionid=C709D8BEEE11F9E9B558938BF96E873E.rm2?instrument_id=DS00701984
  4. can i ...bump the thread...?? someone told me that this is a fernandes FR 45 S deluxe
  5. I had a metallic blue Revolver Pro (probably made in late 90's to early 2000's) that didn't have a reversed headstock. do you have any pics?? is it similiar with mine?
  6. well, I`m wrong about the single coil neck position being the Lite...heres a Fernendes on line that has a H-S-H configuration and the seller says it`s a Lite... ? http://page8.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/h132586570 what fernandes is that?? the spec is almost same like mine except the humbucker pickup on the neck and the headstock shape
  7. NO, the Retrorocket's are and were always more Fender Strat like.(bodywise)... Fernandes did make Revolvers with only 22 frets back in the 90's they might have been called something else, but they are definitely Revolver bodies oh i see.... so it CAN NOT be a retrorocket... hmm...how about the possibility it is one of the AFR series?? Like someone told me before in the first page ?
  8. That looks like a Fernandes Revolver PRO Mid to early 90's probably NOT made in Japan...... The PRO's had the sustainer single coil model(FSK 401's) which this one has PLUS it has a bolt on neck NOT a set neck like the Elite models a nice find though I LOVE the new Fernandes stuff.... fantastic!! thanks mate, but...i think revolver has 24 frets and reversed headstock... do you mean mid 90's retrorocket pro?
  9. refuse to pay retail for any guitars anymore. hell yeah....!! thats why it took me a long time to find an used fernandes... Ok..Ok...back to topic please
  10. http://books.google.com.au/books?id=IrN-E3yn5mMC&pg=PA404&lpg=PA404&dq=2001+fernandes+revolver&source=bl&ots=vuSZm1MPhF&sig=1yfJIflS4cn9qOJKGJZzQZoCdOU&hl=en&ei=e9eASuK3JIfs7APs_LXFCQ&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=9#v=onepage&q=2001%20fernandes%20revolver&f=false quite possibly be a Fernandes AFR see pic of afr70s eerily similar baring the gold finish http://board.muse.mu/showthread.php?t=51150 fernandes also have/had a few Japan only specials (different finishes etc) so it could be an oddball in that sense. It will the very least be MIK. China was very recent and they've pulled out of there AFAIK with the exception of the very very budget lines. Pretty sure it not a revolver - I haven't seen one with a non reverse headstock. (pro 81 owner my self). But I haven't seen one older than 2007 Also Fernandes guitars aren't popular in Japan? hey thanks sir.... pretty similiar with mine, except the gotoh hardwares.... umm...btw i'm not in japan now...i'm in Indonesia...
  11. maybe mine is an old version of the retrorocket pro... so... i've just found that there's a "lite" (or "elite" ?) behind the "sustainer" decal on the front headstock and i think there must be a serial number inside the neck joint i'm gonna write it as soon as i 've change the strings...
  12. in my catalogs , it appears to be the FR-65S...65,ooo retail...not high end. in 1999 and 2000 it`s listed as basswood...in 1997, soft maple. Also came with the locking system. Looks like by 2001, it was replaced by a model with a foto flame top...FGZ-550S in alder and locking system. I`ve probably got other catalogs areound but this is after a quick look at those that were handy. really useful bro, thank you very much but i searched "FR 65"...FR series appear with FR tremolo...not wilkinson... is it japanese made?
  13. hit any bottom?? got that from http://www.sevenstring.org/forum/standard-guitars/42559-fernandes-2.html
  14. guitar companies USUALLY dont install non F-spaced pickups into an F-spaced guitar, so its probably not original. could be a good thing. good thing eh? i hope so ... is the bridge pu an active pu? because when i removed the battery, all of them are dead.... i have no idea bout the wiring though...
  15. that bridge pickup isn't stock either, its not F-spaced, could be a duncan or something. hmm...really? he said that he never did anything to it.... and for me it doesn't seem like bullshit....:poke: he even invited me to try his other guitars in his house.... update : my best guess is ...retrorocket (retrorocket what?? ) before 2000...
