1. Popularity doesnotequal quality.2. The songs she writes are pop {censored}. Really awful stuff.3. Hopefully, time will tell her to give up.
2.
really isn't relevant. look at the stuff the beatles were putting out when they were her age--- hell taylor swifts songs actually are more complex structure wise than say stuff like "love me do" which could be interpreted as pop {censored} as well
but then again only Time will tell.
imagine if somehow in 6 years she got really good at guitar and made a black metal album -
Well that's arbitrary as all hell. What about electronica bands?
well why wouldnt they be allowed in that as well?

Kid A is both of those things, experimental + good songs with amazing melodies.Sorry if there aren't enough distorted guitars or whatever.
i dont really think so... if the bends were recorded just fully acoustic it would be still fine.--- thats kinda like the litmus test of a good album you have to be able to strip down the sound with just the melody/chords and have it be golden
kid a on the other hand relies too much on you know experirmental {censored}.
sure idiotesque/optimistic are pretty good....
but the other parts meh

The Bendsis their best as far as being consistently good all the way through, and a great listenas an albumstart-to-finish.OK Computeris close, and it had several amazing songs -- in fact, its best songs might be better than the best songs fromThe Bends-- but "Fitter, Happier" and "Electioneering" both suck so badly I can't stand listening to them: so it can't be better thanThe Bends, which I don't have to fast-forward through at any point.Pablo Honeyis in third place: inconsistent, but overall a very good album.About a third ofKid AandAmnesiaceach is good. The rest of those albums blows. And withHail to the ThiefandIn Rainbowsand since, they've been pretty much dead to me. Apparently they took the {censored}ty parts ofKid AandAmnesiacand decided to evolve in that direction, perhaps owing to the same "waaaah, it sucks writing music that is popular" attitude that was apparent in that execrableMeeting People Is Easymovie.

i hate how people give brownie points to bands for just being "experimental" instead of writing good songs with amazing melodies

it says on wikipedia he first had an electric when he was 16 and a half.. a far cry from all those youtube videos you see of those kids who started playing at like 8 and can shred at like 12 years
