  1. I think the Shure KSM27 works nicely.
  2. I'm trying to get some good distortion out of the program, because I'm trying to record some heavy type music. And this fuzz sound I'm getting is just when I record directly into my computer, I don't re output the signal to anything else. I'm not sure about Input monitoring, because the only time I do that is when I'm recording through Sonar because it allows me to hear the effects in real time. If i record without the real time effect, and then just apply the distortion afterwards, it sounds exactly the same. When I use GR2 standalone I also get the same sound. I recently made a clip, so if you guys could listen and give me your opinions of the sound I'd really appreciate that. For simplicity, I just use one of the presets in the Metal bank, which is Shred. I don't use the noisegate, and even if i do, the fuzzyish sound is still with me. It's the clip entitled "GR2 test distortion" http://www.purevolume.com/passingtheweekend Thanks a lot.
  3. Hello. I'm pretty new to this forum, I've just been searching for a couple of hours trying to solve my problem and was wondering if you Guitar Rig 2 users out there could help me. Any type of distortion i use with GR2 comes out really fuzzy, the sound is muffled and not clear like I'm used to on live amps. I've listened to people's clips using GR2 and to me the sound they get is phenomenal considering how ugly mine is. I've tried multiple presets and building my own setups, tweaking settings and all but it's just so frustrating because i can't fix it. Anyone know what the problem is? If it helps my set up is: Athlon 1.8 3000+ 1 gig ram I run my guitar through a M-audio mobilepre which plugs into my computer by USB Epi G400 Thanks for your time.
