    By HC News |

Vancouver BC - Radial Engineering Ltd. is pleased to announce the StageBug SB-48 Power Bar is now shipping. The SB-48 is a dual channel 48 volt phantom power generator designed to power microphones and direct boxes when phantom power may not be at hand.

Radial's Service Manager Paul Blake explains: "We sometimes get calls from artists who want to use a clip-on instrument microphone with devices like the popular Radial PZ-Pre acoustic preamp. These are usually condenser mics that require 12V to 48V phantom power to make them work. We thought that it would be a good idea to provide a plug and play solution for these users. The SB-48 is just that. You simply plug the SB-48's 15VDC power supply in the wall and it converts the voltage to 48V phantom power, just like a mixing console or studio mic preamp."

The SB-48 Power Bar is a two channel device that features XLR female inputs and XLR male outputs on each channel. Power is derived from an external 15VDC supply using a non-radiating switcher to generate 48 volts. When active, an easy to see LED indicator illuminates to let you know the SB-48 is ready for use. A recessed power switch also lets you change the output voltage from 48 volts to 12 volts should this be needed.

Made from 16 gauge steel and finished in baked enamel, the compact SB-48 is designed to provide years of trouble-free performance on stage or in the studio. As with all Radial products, the SB-48 is made in Canada and covered by a 3-year transferable warranty.

The StageBug SB-48 is now shipping and retails for $100 USD.
