  • Bose® Introduces New Line of ControlSpace® ESP Engineered Sound Processors

    Framingham, Massachusetts, July 30, 2013 – The new line of ControlSpace® ESP engineered sound processors from Bose® Professional Systems Division consists of three models of networkable digital signal processors, each configured, controlled, and monitored using Bose’s acclaimed ControlSpace Designer™ software. With over 115 dB dynamic range and ultra-low noise/distortion, single-rack ControlSpace ESP engineered sound processors deliver studio-quality analog and digital audio to the installed sound marketplace.

    The Bose ControlSpace ESP-880 (a fixed 8x8 analog I/O configuration), ESP-1240 (12x4 analog I/O) and ESP-4120 (4x12 analog I/O) engineered sound processors all include a rear-panel expansion slot that accommodates optional networking cards including Dante™ and AVB network audio. Networking cards support combined audio and control connectivity with third-party products, other Bose ESP processors, and Bose PowerMatch® amplifiers. In addition, an integrated ESPLink optical output provides low latency, uncompressed 48 kHz audio to same-rack Bose PowerMatch amplifiers. 

    All ESP processors include control input and output capabilities, as well as built-in RS-232 serial and Ethernet ports, allowing integration with industry-standard control systems. Any of the elegant Bose wall-mounted user interfaces, including the programmable CC-64 and CC-16 controllers and three simplified zone volume interfaces, can be used to control all Bose Professional networked devices. 

    These three new processors join the newly refreshed ControlSpace ESP-00 Series II engineered sound processor which provides flexible I/O configurability via an 8-slot card frame and a range of analog and digital option cards. Whether fixed or flexible channel I/O is needed for your design, Bose ESP processors provide powerful and creative solutions for nearly any engineered sound application.
