Neve, Augspurger, Pultec And More At One Happening PAD At AES

Neve, Augspurger, Pultec among new products being premiered at Professional Audio Design/PAD Group AES Booth 548

Hanover, MA based manufacturer, pro audio distributor and retail company, The PAD Group will be showing several new “must see” products at AES Booth 548. Among them will be AMS Neve’s new 1073SPX mono mic preamp & EQ unit. Built to the same specs as the original 1073, the SPX adds desirable new features and functionality, like integrated DI input, phantom power, selectable Insert feature, level meters, output level control and front input connectors for easy and direct connection of microphones and instruments. A digital I/O card is optionally available. The 19” rack-mount 1U unit includes an external multi-voltage PSU.

Another exciting debut is Augspuger’s new Treo 812 CFM Close Field Main Monitor. This new 3-way active, 2500 watt design features mirror-imaged horizontal cabinets housing an 8” ferrite low/mid driver, a 4” 99.98% pure beryllium HF compression driver on Augspurger’s rock maple MF “MidFocus” horn, and a 12” integrated subwoofer mounted on a ported 1.5” thick MDF front baffle.

The compact and powerful Treo monitor is suitable for nearly any audio application where extreme dynamics and detailed accuracy are desired, and is especially suitable for smaller work spaces.

PAD group also welcomes first time show-partner Pulse Technologies Pultec EQ, along with founder engineer Dr. Steve Jackson. Pultec will show a rack of the 19” EQ’s, as well as the new 500 Series Pultecs. “We’ll have the EQ 500A, the 500S, the Jack Douglas signature MEQ-5, and the brand new Pultec EQ 500 X, which is a hybrid of the A and the S. We had a lot of demand for the S model, but of course the S never had 16K like the A, and people don’t want to live without the 16K. So we made the X which has the best of both versions, with the 16K top boost that people love, ” Jackson said.

Sontronics Microphones earlier this year unveiled two new mics. the critically lauded Mercury Tube Condenser and the Solo Stage Dynamic, both of which will be seen and heard at Booth 548, along with the full line of Sontronics mics.
