Michael Chapman has been building and customizing guitars for over 40 years. In the early 70's he customized a number of name brand guitars for the legendary "Don Weir's Music City" in San Francisco. He also was commissioned by many artists to customize their personal instruments.

Michael is no stranger to playing guitars either. His first guitar was a Sears and Roebuck "Silvertone" in 1957. In the early 60's Michael (aka) Mike Chapman co-founded and played in the legendary Midwest band "The Blue Things".  His unique guitar sounds were displayed on an album and several singles recorded in Nashville for RCA Victor.  Michael (along with the other members of the Blue Things) was among the first inductees into the Kansas Music Hall of Fame in January 2005.

In the early 70's Michael co-founded and played in the popular Sonoma County, California 14 piece Latin Rock band "Bristlecone Orchestra", playing his own custom Mosrite and Rickenbacker instruments.

Michael recently retired after spending 20 years at Yamaha Music Manufacturing in Georgia, working in fixture design and fabrication for piano, guitar amp, and P.A. speaker production. He was also involved in guitar amp and P.A. speaker design research and development.

Michael is now fulfilling his dream of building custom-crafted guitars full time.

    Welcome to Michael Chapman's dream!
