Blues City Music is teaming up with Louis Electric Amplifiers to exclusively sell the Louis Electric 2x12” Bluesbreaker combo amplifier. This amp is modeled after the Marshall 1962 JTM 45 model, designed to deliver Eric Clapton’s classic tone with John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers. This high-grade amplifier is custom built to order giving the customer the opportunity to select the speakers, color and even upgrade to the E.C. Collins’ rubberized grille cloth.

This 65-watt amplifier measures at 24” tall, 29” wide, 11” deep, weighs 60 pounds and comes in red or black. With a speaker load of 8 ohms, choices of speaker include Celestion Heritage AlNiCo Gold or Celestion Heritage G12M Greenback. Controls include two volumes, treble, bass, middle and presence. The amp has two channels - Bright and Normal. The Bright channel input has the characteristics of an old Rangemaster pedal. The channels can be bridged for maximum tonal sculpting. An additional feature is a 4k/8k option. This allows the player to simply switch the load to provide a cleaner or more distorted sound. The 4k option provides cleaner tones, while the 8k will lower the wattage and provide quicker mid-range break up. The amp also includes four input jacks.

Additional features of the 2x12” Bluesbreaker include a custom transformer wound like the original Radiospares output transformer. It contains a fixed bias system, two KT66 Gold Lion tubes (reverse engineered Genelux), three 12AX7 preamp tubes, and a 5AR4 rectifier. The amp features turret construction and hand selected caps and resistors. Also included are Belton tube sockets, Switchcraft and Carling input jacks and switches, high quality machine grade fasteners, and moisture free circuit boards.
