    A1 FOUR / A1X FOUR

    Multi-Effects Processors for

    Acoustic Wind and String Instruments

Sept. 12, 2019 – Zoom is excited to introduce two new multi-effects processors, the A1 FOUR and the A1X FOUR, the first multi-effects processors specifically designed for acoustic string and wind instruments.

Both pedals feature over 80 effects, with more than 35 being new effects engineered to perform optimally with a variety of acoustic instruments, including acoustic guitar and bass, saxophone, trumpet, harmonica, violin, and more.  With a built-in looper, a variety of time signatures, and 68 rhythm styles and patterns to choose from, many of which are designed for acoustic-style performances, the A1FOUR and A1X FOUR will take your instrument’s sound and your artistic creativity to a whole new level.

Combining up to five effects to form patches, the A1 FOUR and A1X FOUR offer 40 built-in patches, ranging from the gritty, rock-and-roll saxophone sound captured by the Sax Growl patch, or the majestic sound of your violin producing an entire string symphony with the Vn Orchest patch.  Or explore and construct your own sonic patch creations.

For guitar players there are 15 acoustic guitar modeling effects, and whether for your acoustic guitar or other acoustic instrument, the A1 FOUR and A1X FOUR can both access a world of downloadable artist patches & effects through ZOOM’s free Guitar Lab downloadable software. With Guitar Lab’s effects and patch management capabilities, you have the freedom to explore and create endless sonic combinations.

68 rhythm patterns designed for acoustic music including Samba, Reggae, and Jazz, using shakers, cajon’s, djembe’s and other acoustic percussion instruments, along with traditional drum set sounds and patterns. The rhythm patterns are available in a variety of time signatures. The built-in 30-second looper allows you to create dynamic, multi-part arrangements, while the onboard Ant-Feedback Filter detects and cuts frequencies that cause potential feedback.

Using the included Zoom MAA-1 mic adapter, you easily connect your instrument’s pick-up or your microphone to the A1 FOUR or A1X FOUR to add effects to any acoustic instrument.  The MAA-1 supports dynamic microphones and provides phantom power for condenser mics.

The A1 FOUR and A1X FOUR are built for live performances.  Effortlessly toggle between patches and effects with two performance modes.  MEMORY mode makes it easy to program your entire set list by jumping from patch to patch, while STOMP mode enables you to individually turn effects on and off with the tap of your foot.

The new Zoom A1 FOUR and A1X FOUR will be available starting in October 2019 for $129.99 and $149.99 respectively. For more information including specs and videos, please visit www.zoom-na.com/A1Four or contact Zoom North America at info@zoom-na.com.
