OCDP Introduces Limited Edition Maple Hybrid Snare
Thousand Oaks, CA - April 2017... Orange County Drum & Percussion (OCDP) maple snares are valued
for their excellent projection, fine tone, and great looks. The new OCDP Limited Edition Maple Hybrid
14 x 6.5-inch Snare displays all of these attributes and then some. The new hybrid snare employs special blended, 6-ply maple/poplar shells that provide a balanced sound between maple's warm, full-bodied high/mids and poplar's rich lows. The result is a snare that is highly versatile and works well for multiple musical genres. Two 1.75-inch side ports further enhance the snare's big sound and increase overall volume.
The Limited Edition Hybrid Snare looks as great as it sounds. Its deluxe Halo Flake finish from world-renown Delmar USA creates an eye-catching, diamond-shaped sparkle when hit with stage lights.
Durability and strength are crucial in a performance instrument, and the Limited Edition Maple Hybrid Snare delivers on both counts. OCDP's signature, high-quality shark-tooth lugs are set in the company's classic 80/20 offset design and are cast in the USA. To top it off, these limited-edition snares come with a durable Remo UT coated batter head.
"When we call this a 'Limited Edition' instrument, we mean it," assures OCDP Product Manager Clyde Miller. "Only 600 of these special drums will be produced. We put a lot of thought and care into the Limited Edition Hybrid Snare, and it has paid off. The sound is so balanced, you can use it for a wide variety of musical genres. Rimshots have serious bite. And wait until you see this beauty sparkle under stage lights! The entire design came out even better than we had hoped."
The new OCDP Limited Edition Maple Hybrid 14 x 6.5-inch Snare will street for $199.99 and is available at Guitar Center stores, at www.guitarcenter.com, and at Musician's Friend.

    About OCDP
Orange County Drum & Percussion was founded by Daniel Jensen and John Machado in 1991. After setting up operations in a small facility in Santa Ana, California, OCDP focused creating custom drums and expanding retail sales, as well as offering dedicated drum repair. Daniel was also an active drum tech working with several recording artists. The word spread quickly, as did the roster of top tier drummers who play OCDP drums. In 2007, Guitar Center signed an exclusive agreement with OCDP to develop a full range of drum sets, snare drums, and hardware under the OCDP brand at key price points designed to take the brand from a small boutique builder to a full range drum manufacturer.
