Bend, OR (April 30, 2014) – Breedlove Stringed Instruments is proud to present the 2014 Bass lineup – designed and quality checked in Bend, Oregon, U.S.A.

Breedlove has three acoustic basses in its 2014 product offerings; Studio Bass, Solo Bass, and Pursuit Bass. When you’re ready to capture your music in the recording environment, whether in a home studio or a professional studio, the Studio Series delivers. The Studio bass offer equal balance and warmth thanks to the sapele back and sides. If you’ve ever tried to write a song in a noisy room or on a rambunctious tour bus, you know how hard it can be to really hear your own guitar. Ideal for singer-songwriters, the Solo Series models have a side sound hole monitor to allow you to hear your music as if you were standing in front of the instrument.  The aptly named Pursuit Series was envisioned as a “step-up” guitar for players who are newly committed to pursuing their music career and are ready to share their music with the world.  All three bases are ready for amplification with Fishman ISYS+ electronics, and feature built-in USB ports, so laying down tracks on your laptop or computer is easy and convenient.

Both the Studio and Solo are a jumbo body shape.  If you’re a strummer seeking dominating sound, the Jumbo – Breedlove’s largest body shape by volume – is the perfect body shape for you. If you’ve played a Breedlove Jumbo, you know it’s a powerful experience: Sound feels sonically propelled by the movement of so much air inside the body.  These bodies provide a big bass response, and a sound that Breedlove Jumbo devotees describe reverently as “grand-piano like.” Breedlove Jumbos rise above the competition in their clarity and expressiveness due to their graduated tops, which add nuance to the tonal spectrum without losing volume.  The Pursuit features a shorter scale length and a concert body shape.

All three models are equipped with the Breedlove Bridge Truss which relieves stress on the instrument’s top while providing additional sustain and balance.
