Members Jess1971
I am thinking of getting this guitar: http://www.gbase.com/Stores/Gear/GearDetails.aspx?Item=2072258 It is a 2004 Gibson Les Paul Standard, looks to be in really good shape. Anyway, the truss rod cover doesn't say anything on it, so I am concerned, as I thought all the LP Standards always said "Standard" on the cover. Should I be concerned? Members benricci
Looks pretty real - fake LPs typically have a 3-screw truss rod cover. This appears to have a correct 2-screw cover. My old LP did not have anything written on the truss rod cover, for what it's worth.
Members Prages
I think the writing on the truss rod cover has come and gone a few times over the years.
