Members ILikeGuitar
I bought a Crate V15 a while ago and something was wrong with the reverb. I unscrewed the reverb tank and the springs were loose and the wires pulled away from the connections... Where does the black wire go and where does the red wire go? Members DonP
I had the same thing happen with my Blues Jr. reverb tank. I bought a new one so that I knew where the wires went (now I have an extra). It's AC, so you don't have to worry about getting the wires backwards and blowing something up. BUT, you can wire it out-of-phase, sort of like out of phase pickups. So, take your best guess and wire it up. If it sounds "funny", reverse one pair of black and red wires. For the life of me, I don't get how these wires come off. And why all of the wires and not just one?
Members benricci
Can you make a mechanical connection first to test, before you solder them into place? Just a thought.

Members hrcnsfan
If you don't have an answer soon (which you probably will) I'll take a look at the tank in my V30 when I get home and let you know. But that'll be after 6 est.
