Members mparsons
Do you think it'd go well paired with the X2N I've got in there now? It's going in an ash body, maple neck through, ebony fingerboard guitar, with an OFR. Thanks!

Members Cats-o-caster
Air zone is pretty hot - what is/will be bridge pu
Members raine36
I had a guitar with an Air Zone in the neck. I wanted to get the usual Tone Zone/Air Norton set, but found a good deal on an Air Zone. It was in a basswood body and sounded great. Very warm, smooth but articulate tone. I was expecting it to be muddy and dull on the higher notes, but I really liked how it sort of smoothed over those notes. I would be inclined to say that it sounds like a bright pickup with the tone knob at half.
Members mparsons
Very cool! Thanks! How does it compare with the Air Norton, as far as cleans go? It'll be paired with an X2N in the bridge... so matching output is a bit important.
Members raine36
Haven't had enough experience with the Air Norton to fairly judge the two against each other. If you don't mind very warm cleans, then the Air Zone would work just fine.
Members mparsons
That sounds great... My guitar is extremely bright, almost Telecaster-ish, so I think it would make an awesome compliment. Thanks!
