Members LBOIV001
I recently purchased a Godin xtsa (been wanting one for a while now). It should arrive this week. After playing it exhaustively at the store I have a feeling I will be replacing the stock pickups, but I am not sure which direction to go with this. FWIW, the Godin has a maple body, mahogany neck and ebony fretboard, with a H-SC-H pup configuration. I play country, hard rock, funk, and bits and pieces of other styles. I am really impressed by the George Lynch Screamin demons...I like a heavy sound with plenty of sustain and ballsy pinch harmonics, but I am totally open to experienced advice before I throw down the cash. Any suggestions or comments? Any Godin owners out there who have modded this way? All thoughts and opinions are welcome, and thanks in advance.
