I knew I wanted a strat because of John Frusciante, I was opting for 3 single coils, and I asked what those double single coils were and the salesperson told me that they are better, so I listened and got a SSH strat copy. Members gergbee Posted October 4, 2009 Members Share Posted October 4, 2009 My first was a late 70s Vantage LP copy ( I can't remember the exact year).I didn't know anything about pickups, I just knew I liked the LP shape.
