Members Coverdale
Hello guys. I found this guitar for sale. The seller didn't want to give a price, just said they cost 1700
Members shredtilurded
Yep. That's about right. ESP makes awesome guitars but their resale value blows.

Members Sonar
Yep. That's about right. ESP makes awesome guitars but their resale value blows. I sure haven't seen that be the case...especially the Telecaster models. Here's an earlier version (then called the ESP "400 Series" because of it's approximate $400 sales price) that recently sold on eBay for $810. Nice guitar. But notice the modified ESP headstock for the U.S. market. It puts some folks off. But, for their own market, the ESP Japan used a direct Fender knockoff headstock. Really interesting and rare to see in the U.S. market used. Here's a link to a later late '80s/early '90s Traditional (aka "Trad") ESP model with the real Fender deal headstock cut. Now THAT'S COOL. I LOVE me some old ESP guits....and the prices are nothing but rising since the late '90's on anything ESP & interesting.
Members shredtilurded
Hmmmm...how many examples of sale prices do you have. I've seen the occasional ESP sell for a bit more than the usual resale price, but from what I've seen the resale value is not indicative of the level of quality these guitars possess.
