Members chu2
Hey guys, So I got a Xaviere XV-600 (2009 model) in the mail yesterday. It's a sweet guitar, plays beautifully and sounds top-notch, but I noticed some noticeable flaws in the neck finish. There were some white-ish spots under the clear coat near the heel of the neck, and what looked like a buffing scuff, too. I don't know if the backs of the tuning machines were supposed to be mother of pearl or if it's protective plastic affixed with fairly strong adhesive... I had a problem with a defective tone pot on the guitar, so I emailed GFS about it. But are little finish defects like this normal with Xavieres? All the reviews I've read are pretty positive, so I'm thinking this might be an anomaly...
Members PunkKitty
Contact GFS about it. I had a problem with my XV-700. They replaced the guitar with no problems.
