Members Tawlks
I can kinda see the Atreyu/BFMV, but overall this comes off as "Why don't they deserve it? Cuz I don't like it." Anyone one who can make the company money deserves a sig model. It's not an award, it's an advertisement. Yeah I guess that's true actually. I do like Bullet though, I just don't consider Micheal Paget a great guitarist, same with Chimaira. I may be wrong but I don't think people buy signature guitars because of their favourite band using them, I think people who've been playing guitar for a decent amount of time with experience will pick a sig guitar because it's a good guitar regardless of weather they like the artist or not, which I think kinda makes making lots of signature guitars pointless, but if it's advertisement then it's great for the company. Members truckdub
It's not about how well they play them. It's about how well they sell them.
Members Tawlks
I guess so. Seems it makes alot of sense having LTD sigs aswell for the 'young' bands, ones who's audience are alot younger and have less money, makes it more accessible, the more I think about it the more money orientated it seems. Members sylvesterlowery
I never get sick of seeing Page Hamilton sig model. That is one of my favorite ESP guitars ever.
Members ExiledCrow
It's not about how well they play them. It's about how well they sell them. This. Plus a lot of young metal guys will see people they know/like playing ESP/LTD, and even if they don't buy a sig chances are they'll at least try some or maybe get another (cheaper) model. Great marketing, especially if you consider many people stick with a brand once they find one they like ... Bottom line, it helps the bottom line. Members paulojcduarte
Might I mention that by suck I mean that I don't feel they're a unique or influential enough a guitarist to deserve an ESP signature model. I mean... Just my opinion but, Behemoth, Dimmu Borgir and Atreyu, micheal Paget. That's just my opinion though. That's not the reason brands do signature models
