Members Eschatologist Posted February 24, 2010 Members Share Posted February 24, 2010 Hey guys, need a little help...rewiring a project guitar I bought for fun, just a single DiMarzio Evolution in the bridge....can anyone draw me up a quick schematic just to make sure I am doing this right? I'm just not a hundred percent sure which colours of wires do what. Here's the signal chain I would like: Dimarzio EVO > Volume > Output That's it....no switches tone or anything. Members guitarcapo Posted February 24, 2010 Members Share Posted February 24, 2010 You might consider a 250K pot since there's no tone knob. When you remove the tone pot from the controls entirely, the single 500K volume pot maxed out has the same sound as two 1 meg pots with the volume and tone maxed out...which might be a bit bright since most pickups are voiced by the manufacturer assuming a volume and tone in the signal chain.
