Members Mackin
Probably, if the string gauge jump is significant. That's no biggie though - and you can probably do that yourself. I bet you'll enjoy the heavier strings. Is the guitar a short scale ? ...You might have some surprises though, you might end up liking the guitar the way it will be with the new strings. Good luck and enjoy
Members SurveyofSociety
Is the search broken? I've been trying to search for threads on strings and keep getting no results... :/ Yeah as far as I know with a change in string guage you're supposed to have some kind of setup done. Ye know the usuals, neck (truss rod), bridge height, intonation and mabye even the nut to make sure the strings fit ok.
