I find the Ibanez guitars kind of flat and wide compared to my Tele and Strat but can't find any new Charvels around here to try out. I'm hoping the Charvels with the Fender necks are truly that....Fender necks. Are they? Needing a tremolo guitar that will stay in tune and kind of favoring the S body then the RG1550 but the necks are kind of foreign feeling to me. Members Toshiro Posted March 10, 2010 Members Share Posted March 10, 2010 I took a caliper to my Charvel So Cal neck. It's right around 19.5mm at the 1st fret, and 21mm at the 12th. Very close to a Wizard II in thickness. The main different is in the shape of the profile, the Charvel neck is more round than any Ibanez aside from the JS.
