Tell me about 'pre factory' PRS guitars.

I've got a Gibson es339 that I'm struggling to bond with and after putting it up for sale/trade, have been offered a PRS ce 24, made in 1989.

Now, I've never played, let alone owned a PRS so I'm after your opinions on the trade and most importantly the guitar itself. It's got replaced pups and the usual dents for a guitar over 20 years old.

What do you reckon?

It would certainly be more unique than the modern PRS guitars. Valuable as well if in good condition.

Thanks for this. I should say it's a black guitar, not a flametop. The condition isn't great, but certainly not bad to my mind.
