Members saxxamafone
hey all i'm about to put a couple of guitars into drop B 1 being a Gibbo LP Do you think 11-58 should be ok? Never gone this low before
Members Electric Monk
It depends on your preferences. I play 11-48's in standard, so it'd feel like playing a guitar strung with cooked spaghetti to me, but it all depends. I know people who tune really low with the same strings I use and they like it just fine.

Members Harvester1199
24 3/4 scale and i recommend 12-60 for that tuningbut you might wanna try dunlops new heavy core strings, they ar emade for tuning down and have higher tension"heavy core heaviest" 12-54 might work for that tuning

Members trashedlostfdup
11's would be way too loose for drop c (as far as i am concerned), much less drop B. go with 12's on the high side at least.
