Members thesockmonster
Just concerned about the minor silicon content. Any experience, or other suggestions? Need to get some swirls out of a black nitro gloss finish.
Members copperheadroads
i have buffed out many nitro guitar that i have built with scratch x & about silicone here we go again . i once sprayed a maple birds eye neck with nitro lacquer , when i was buffing after the neck was cured i tried buffing it using a turtle wax brand that contained silicone i discovered some of the birds eye had little dips which needed to be sprayed again with lacquer so i wiped it over with naphtha & sprayed a few more coats before i buffed it again that was 5 years ago with not a problem yet
Members BoneNut
Novus 2 is water based, besides being a great product. It'll even polish out CDs and DVDs. I've used it on nitro with no issues.
