Members draines1220
i also have this washburn tour 24 that was made in 84. it says chicago on the front of the headstock. doe this mean it was made in the chicago factory? it has no silkscreen or print of any sort telling where it was manufactured. i dig it though. black body with red binding on body and neck...how 80s is that? pure hair metal awesome-ness. Members fretmonster
All the US Washburns I have or have owned say "Made in USA". But my Korean made Washburn P290 is also a fabulous guitar IMO.
Members tim gueguen
AFAIK all the Washburns in that period were Japanese made.
Members d_dave_c
pics? I dig those old washburns. tele-shaped, ash-bodies. The wonderbar was supposedly a really stable trem, but a bulky beast, to be sure. Pretty sure the 'Chicago' series were made in the usa. plus the fret markers that match the binding. those were tight back in the day.
Members draines1220
I can post a pic or 2 but not now. Apparently my phone won't allow it? But yeah, a pre-owner of this thing actually removed that friggin trem! Put a gotoh style in its place???? Mu-rons. If ya wanna buy it hey its rare I use it anymore. I would come off of it for a very fair price.
