Members separanets Posted March 23, 2011 Members Share Posted March 23, 2011 Hello, I bought a trembucker Seymour Duncan JB year 92. The seller told me they sound better than modern TB-4s. When I installed it I found it was very weak. I measured resistance of modern TB/SH-4 pickups in 3 my guitars and they were all 17,2 kOm. The one I just bought was only 16,7 kOms. What I need to understand is this:1) Are the JB '92 and modern TB-4 the same pickus or they are different2) If they are the same, how come they sound differently?
