Members JimH
Hi Guys, I think I'm going to get a new neck bucker for my fat tele, not sure what yet, but something alnico. It's already got a lil59 in the bridge - but it's also got 5-way fancy wiring. My two main sounds at the moment are positions 5 and 4. 5 - full lil594 - full lil59 in parrallel with cut coil of the existing bucker. My dilema is that quite a few of the pickups I like don't have 4-conductor wiring - antiquity, seth lover etc. and therefore, if I get one, I'm on a standard 2xHB guitar - do I then switch to 500K pots? ...And will I lose my rythm tone - which is bucker in parrallel with cut coil - I do like it but I feel I'm really wasting having a neck bucker in the guitar if I don't put a good one in - I've really used them in other guitars - in this one I almost never do. The existing one is stock tex mex and just not that great I don't think. Thanks.
Members akapuli
Why don't you give a try for the Duncan SH-1 '59? It's not the same than the Seth Lover, but maybe would blend better with your bridge pu.
