Members Johnny Two Tone Posted August 7, 2011 Members Share Posted August 7, 2011 Does anyone know what kind of nut the EB/MM JP6 uses? I thought it was an Earvana nut but I could have sworn that I've heard it was some kinda' unique nut or something. Either way I need a new one. Two years ago (I think) I sent my JP6 to MM to have the original nut replaced as it had, SOMEHOW, worn it's slots down low enough that at least one string was somewhat touching the first fret. Unfortunately, when I got the guitar back the tech ended up cutting the low E string slot so low that I basically had the same damn problem but on a new string! So, barring sending the guitar to MM again to have the nut changed - something that would cost a {censored} load (the last time the place I bought it did the shipping for free since the guitar was under a year old, but I still had to pay for the labor) - I need to get another nut, cut the finish, glue in the new nut, file the slots, etc, myself.
