Members bluesnapper Posted August 19, 2011 Members Share Posted August 19, 2011 Until a couple of weeks ago I hadn't played with these guys for over a year - then somebody suggested we play at a mate's wedding (tomorrow!) and like the fools we are we agreed! We're a swaggery pub-friendly blues/rock outfit but I've cut the more raunchy numbers from the setlist and replaced them with what is essentially The Commitments soundtrack - horrible and cheesy but slightly more wedding-appropriate - well, I presume so anyway - I've not played a wedding gig before! All-in-all, after a few rehearsals I reckon we're sounding pretty good again. Hopefully everyone else will think so too! Must remember - always get paid before taking to the stage!
