Members bluesnapper Posted May 15, 2012 Members Share Posted May 15, 2012 Love my SG Special - my first ever possession of any value - but I've not really been happy with the 490R/T pickups. Time to change! Thought I'd see what all the P90 fuss was about. Picked up some Bareknuckle 'Mississippi Queen' HB-sized P90s. Always wanted to check them out but they're pretty pricey normally - managed to snag a good deal though. Might eventually get round to posting a proper review, but first impressions are good. They're pretty tricky to use - very responsive to slight tone/volume and amp adjustments but they really sing when you get it just right. Off out to an open mic night now - unfortuately it's a quiet, sort of coffee-shop affair so won't be able to crank the amp.
