Members NeverTheMachine
Single in the neck, HumB in the bridge. Most of what I've seen is the opposite. I don't know why I want to explore these but I do. Seems it would be the best of both worlds. I've tried standard telecasters and the single pickup in the bridge is always too jangly for me. Members Cobalt Blue
Have you considered going in this or a similar direction? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Seymour-Duncan-STK-T2b-Hot-Stack-Telecaster-Ceramic-Humbucker-Lead-Bridge-Pickup-/170845097128 Another option--and one that I think you'd like the sound of--would be this: or with this: http://tvjones.com/pickups/filtertron-style/power-tron-plus/
Members NeverTheMachine
Fender Modern Player Telecaster Plus? That is nice and I want it! It is dirt cheap too. What's the catch? Anyone played it?
Members Blackface
I think they made a HS or HSS Contemporary Telecaster in the 80's. They were MIJ with floyd style bridges.

I saw a HH MIJ tele the other day on ebay. It was one of the most beautiful guitars I'd ever seen. They are exp though.
Members Blackface
Yeah, they made a HH too, but also HSS. I had one a long time ago, it was a great guitar.

Members vintage clubber
Squier made a Standard Tele special with a humbucker in bridge and strat neck pickup for a while - worth looking into... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Squier-by-Fender-Telecaster-Standard-Series-H-S-/160801860039?pt=Guitar&hash=item257089a9c7
Members Karma1
Probably not what you had in mind, but the bridge pickup is a Duncan Little 59 single coil-sized humbucker with series/parallel switching (neck has a Lace Sensor Gold)

Members Danhedonia
"That is nice and I want it! It is dirt cheap too. What's the catch? Anyone played it?" I have one, like it very much. Pine body is interesting, finish very well done. As w/all guitars at this price point, I'd suggest trying to audition prior to purchasing, but mine was a no-brainer after I had gone shopping for a pricier Tele - sad to say, it had the nicest neck in the store save a '52 RI. Coil tap on bridge pup is cool; I find the pickups unremarkable but acceptable. If you're gigging or recording for a broad audience, you'd want to think of replacing them. Very nice build quality. Members vintage clubber
Here's another one on ebay. I like the color better but not for the price difference: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Squier-by-Fender-Telecaster-Standard-Series-H-S-/160801860039?pt=Guitar&hash=item257089a9c7 Interesting...it's the same one that I posted two months ago...
