Members kenm Posted September 5, 2002 Members Share Posted September 5, 2002 I like to mic the side of the shell sometimes, in line with the snares and slightly above the middle of the shell. Gives a great sound with some snares. Lot's of body. I also like that cheap RAdio Shack mic everyone was talking about. I forget the model number, but it is really small and sounds better than a 57.
