Members Mercenary
I recently bought new 500k pots for my guitar *2 volume, 2 tone*. Everything seems to work fine except when I go to put either volumes to 0. Bridge pick up will not totally shut off when turned to 0 and neither will the neck pickup. Both use a separate volume pot so I was wondering what the problem could possibly be.
Members onelife
It is probably a grounding issue related to the way you have it wired. Can you post a diagram or picture of what you have done?

Members onelife
Did you solder the third lug on the volume pots to the case? When I do it, I run the ground wire through the lug and solder it to the case just to be sure of a good connection. Can you post o photo of your guitar? Maybe you just missed a connection somewhere. Members Armitage
Did you do '50s style? That's was a pretty common problem, and why they stopped doing it that way.
Members Angry Tele
how did you ground the pot or the cap? When bending the pot backwards on itself it can be a tricky/bad connection. I like to put the cap leg through the pot and solder the leg to the back of the pot and the lug.
Members skibob
Did you wire the wire from the pickup to the center lug of the pot instead of the outside lug? I've done that by mistake before, and it causes the pickup to be on even when the pot is at 0.
