Members Dave Schenck
I've tried the Yamaha Hipgig jr. and I thought it sounded darn good. I think its about $650 with hardware.
Members djembefola23
The Mapex Voyagers are really sweet. I don't know if they still make them though.
Members Dave Schenck
I'm prettysure they still do. I've never played one officicially but I once owned a Mapex Mars kit and I think that kit was turned into the voyager after the Mars shells were upgraded. For $400 or so (in 91') those drums sounded very good.
Members woody431
I'd have to put in a vote for the Pacific Chameleon. It has mesh heads on one side and real heads on the other. So quiet practice or just reg. practice. They are the short stack kind. It's like 12x22, 5x10,6x12,7x14, 5x14" snare. It's not a bad little kit.
