Members jbear555
Hey All, I have some Strats that I am considering parting with (just have more Strats than I can play right now). My quandary with one of them...I have limited info. on the boutique PUP's that are in it. The guy I bought it from told me that they were wound by Beau Phillips (possibly of Seattle), but I can find no information. He described them as "vintage hot" when we were dialoging, and I've found this to be pretty accurate. I can say that I have D Allen Vint54Hot's in another Strat and these are pretty much the same flavor. They are clear enough for surf and the like, and they do the David Gilmour thing to a Tee. They're awfully nice PUP's, Beau's intitials and the resistance is written on the bases, and the wire is cloth-covered, but I'd sure like to know more, so I can provide something more for a prospective buyer than, "they sound really nice." I am posting a picture in hopes that someone can enlighten me. Thanks so much in advance!
