Members Alexilaiho
If I buy a a 24 fret neck to use on a guitar with 21 frets will it make it a baritone or just screw errthang up?
Members DaleH
as long as the 12th fret is half way between the nut and bridge saddles. So you would have to set the neck deeper into the body or move the bridge.
Members lz4005
There are replacement necks that are designed to convert a standard guitar into a longer scale baritone. They usually have more frets than the neck they're replacing. The chances of getting it to work with a neck that wasn't designed specifically to do that are very low.
